Flightsim: Flight around the world

Hello,

I just got aquainted with the Beechcraft Baron 58 plane in Flight Simulator 2004, and strangely fell in love with it. Now in real life I always prefer a bike to a car, and in Flightsim I have always preffered the tiny Cessna's to the huge Boeings - mainly because of the feeling of individuality, personality and belonging. So today, after really trying the Baron, I have realized - this plane is what I need! It has all of that 'personal' feeling of Cessna, it has those wonderful twin propellers (I don't like those turboreactive airplane engines since childhood), retractable gear and a strange feel of the machine. So I thought - why not try and throw a long IFR run - from Zvartnots to Gyumri, the long way - around the globe! The plane is quite thrifty with the fuel, and even though the hops will be quite shorty, they won't be short enough to make me nervous. I must mention that I am not very advanced in the modern flight, but then again I am not a newbie. I know how to use ILS, VASI, when to retrace the gear, how to operate an autopilot, finally what is a 'heading' and so on. I have no idea, however, what is STAR and I'm constantly having a hard time navigating in VORs.
So wish me luck with my 'Jaguar' plane (no coincidences), I'll post screenshots along my way and provide interesting facts about the cities where I land. Moving to UGEE (Zvartnots) - and the first screenshots are here.

It is a built-in Flightsim plane, as mentioned above - the Beechcraft Baron 58. The paint, of course, is custom (I made it). If anyone likes the skin - I can attach it to my post, it's not that big and can be easily added.

ServInfo инфы выдает, но серверам что то не пингает ...

I'm flying on VATSIM almost every day with my FS2004 and Dialup, and never had any connection speed/performance issues. What's the problem?

well. can you plz write down step by step connection for FS2004 ... briefly

• Install FSUIPC:

  
  - Get it at http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowso...mestamp=010106
  - Unzip the contents of the archive to FlightsimFolder\FSUIPC
  - Copy the file 'FSUIPC.dll' to FlightsimFolder\Modules
  

• Install Squawkbox:

  
  - Get it at http://www.simfiles.pl/SB/sb3setup.zip
  - Run the installer and follow the installation wizard
  - Personally my Squawkbox does not detect the Flight Simulator installation, since my FS is not exactly legal. Hell with it.
  

• Login to VATSIM:

  
  - Make sure you have Flightsim running
  - Alt-tab to Windows and run Squawkbox
  - Go to the menu Start > Connect
  - Select any server, type in your VATSIM ID and Password, your callsign, home airport, first and last names and the aircraft you're gonna use. If you don't have any registered yet, register one clicking on the button [ Aircraft list ]
  - Press [ Connect ]
  - Congratulations, you are now connected to VATSIM
  

• Connect your Flightsim to your Squawkbox

  
  - Alt-tab back to your Flightsim
  - Go to Multiplayer -> Open Multiplayer Session
  - Type in your player name, IP Address: 127.0.0.1
  - Press [ Search ]
  - Select the found Squawkbox session and click [ Join ]
  

• Get into flight

  
  - Create a flight in Flightsim. Make sure you don't choose the active runway as your starting position
  - Press [ Fly now ]
  

• Takeoff

  
  - Alt-tab to Squawkbox and submit a flight plan
  - Alt-tab back to Flightsim and request clearance
  - After regular ATC procedures, you're cleared to take off. Enjoy.
  

Note: Do NOT register your Squawkbox with FSUIPC. After doing so, I couldn't connect my Flightsim to Squawkbox anymore. Just follow this guide and you must be fine.
