The construction of the café on the grounds of the Komitas Chamber Music Hall has been temporarily halted. We hope they will reach a permanent solution that preserves the Hall’s needs, but we must continue to stop the destruction of our remaining green areas. We must continue to raise our collective voice, we must articulate our concerns with even greater numbers, and we must demand immediate action for protecting Yerevan’s green areas. Please join us for the next in the series of events publicizing and protesting against the destruction of cultural and environmental assets of Yerevan: A CONCERT/RALLY FEATURING PERFORMERS VAHAN ARTSTUNI & LILIT PIPOYAN & PROMINENT SPEAKERS Saturday, 29 October, 2005, 12:00 Noon Starting at Ayvazovsky statue near Komitas Chamber Music Hall, ending at the Opera Several prominent guardians of culture and stewards of the environment will be speaking to the issues at stake during these events.
