VeerZaara, an Indian movie, which was released in November of 2004 has been very successful not only in Asia but in the whole world. Starring famed actors Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukherjee, the film has been the right step for countries Pakistan and India.

The movie is about love, dedication and commitment of a man for a woman named Zaara. He suffers for 22 years but never takes her name, because he is afraid that she will lose her dignity in society. Zaara is a Pakistani girl who travels to India where she meets the hero, and the circumstances make them fall in love. To make matters complicated, the girl is already engaged to a high profile Pakistani man.

When the hero tries to get her back and goes to Pakistan he is caught by the Police. The Police accuse him of being an Indian intelligence spy and lock him up in jail. During this incarceration, our hero does not mention Zaara's name, to once again save her dignity. In the end, the girl gets her divorce and goes to the village, where her beloved hero is living. A very intelligent and kind advocate from Pakistan is hired to run the case in Pakistan and then she finds the Zaara and gives both lovers a chance to live happily ever after.

This movie is a great step toward eliminating historic grudges of Pakistanis and Indians. It revolves around the notion that love has no border, painting everyone in similar color no matter their background or nationality. Clearly, the entertainment has a vital role in reconciling relation between nations such as Indian and Pakistan. These countires have been so close originally but have been enemies for years for political reasons

Думаю, что жить в мире нам не придется еще долго. И дело даже не в новых поколениях. Дело в том, что мы во многом похожи, особенно в том, что касается нашей эмоциональности, упрямства и национальных амбиций. И есть вопросы, на которые у каждой стороны сформировались свои ответы. И даже если появляется желание послушать другую сторону, то ответ чаще всего вызывает одну реакцию - чушь.
Жаль, потому что мы соседи, и друг от друга нам никуда не переехать.
