Default Information/Media Assistant/ OSCE

The OSCE Office in Yerevan invites applications from highly qualified,
energetic and experienced Armenian professionals for the temporary post of
Information/Media Assistant.

Under supervision of the Head of Office the incumbent will perform the
following tasks:



· Organizes press conferences, arranges for interviews, TV/Radio
programs for the Head of Office and other staff members, produces,
translates, and distributes Office press releases;

· Establishes relations with media, NGOs, co-operating agencies,
public at large to provide OSCE related information;

· Reviewing the news from newspapers, news services and the
internet to remain updated on the news relevant for the mission;

· Ensures and traces press coverage on OSCE and office activities,
events;

· Maintains up to date information on the Office's activities for
the purpose preparing updates to annual report, Office press releases, and
the Office web-site

· Maintains and updates the office web-site through PPIS Section in
Vienna;

· Keeps a record of recent OSCE publications and ensures
dissemination to collaborating institutions;

· Responsible for the Office's daily provision of information (e.g.
newspaper subscriptions, magazines)

· Assists Head of the Office on anti-corruption endeavours: liaises
with Government and international partners, provides regular updates to
members of the working group;

· Assists Head of the Office in the media development field:
monitors media situation, attends media-related court cases, follows the
development of relevant legislation, liases with local and international
partners;

· Organizes and attends relevant media and anti-corruption related
meetings, seminars, roundtables, prepares minutes;

· Prepares information briefing packs for visiting delegations;

· Performs other related work as assigned.



Qualifications:

Completion of secondary education. Knowledge of media related affairs
would be an asset.

Supplementary university course in related field is an asset.

Minimum of 4 years of work experience in this field.

Fluent English/Armenian/Russian written and spoken.

Ability to use a word processor, internet, digital camera, and scanner
proficiently.
