73 | Receptionist - Peace Corps, Armenia Peace Corps . Armenia JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Receptionist Peace Corps, a US Government Agency, trains and places forty-fifty American Volunteers per year throughout Armenia. The goals of Peace Corps are to provide technical assistance, promote understanding of America in Armenia, and to promote understanding of Armenia in the USA. Peace Corps is presently searching for a quality employee to serve as receptionist. Main duties include: Receptionist/Telephone Operator/Mail Duties: Answers all incoming calls, to the extent possible. Directs incoming calls to the appropriate office or individual; Takes and passes messages to intended staff; Provides general information to callers during working hours; Greets visitors; Registers incoming and outgoing correspondence. Volunteer Support Duties: Works closely with the Administrative Unit by maintaining Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) administrative files; Enters PCV data into database; Issues ID cards to PCVs; Coordinates PCVs' official stays in Yerevan. General Administrative Support/Safety and Security: Assists with general filing; Helps maintain Volunteer records for safety and security and other purposes; Assists Peace Corps Staff and Volunteers upon request; Notifies PCVs and Staff of upcoming PCV/ Office Events on a regular basis; Assists PCVs/Staff with conference hall reservation; Reviews telephone list verification of outgoing calls on a monthly basis; Serves as backup for Executive Assistant; Coordinates ad placement for Intern Program on a semiannual basis, etc. Reports to the Administrative Officer. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS · University Education. · Experience with international organizations · Excellent communication skills · Fluency in English and Armenian; Russian language skills are desirable. · Competency with using personal computers on the job (word processing, database management, etc.). · Courteous, Polite, Dependable, Flexible Interested and qualified Armenians may obtain an application form, detailed job description and instructions at the Peace Corps office at 33 Charents St., Yerevan.
