HDP Foundation


HDP is looking for a program coordinator in its Yerevan office. This position is designed to help the HDP English speaking management with general administration and coordination of projects in the organization. The individual must be familiar with western style communications and have the ability to coordinate our activities with donors, sub-contractors and other partners. Because of the wide variety of projects in HDP, the individual must be interested in learning in new areas and be capable of quickly learning technical vocabulary.

HDP Foundation (HDP) is a newly registered Armenian-based non-governmental organization (NGO) with a focus on public-private development, rural development, education and income-generation activities in Armenia. Our small office is rapidly growing and we need a person with leadership skills to organize staff to complete projects through coordination.

Position requirements
· Education in public administration or similar area
Strong individual with experience in project management and supervision;
· Excellent leadership skills to work with an international and local group of individuals;
Excellent English and Armenian plus good Russian is required along with translation and interpreting skills;
Computer skills in operation of MS Windows, Word, Excel; knowledge of Access and QuarkXPress is a plus.
Typing speed of at least 50 wpm in English, similar performance in Armenian, and be familiar with Russian keyboard.

The program coordinator is responsible to the president of HDP. Program coordinator will take instructions from the president and coordinate staff work to complete tasks given.

Responsibilities include

Data collection, preparing and supervising correspondence with partners and preparing reports in English and Armenian
Coordination, preparation, and tracking of grant proposals and project implementation
Participate in developing strategies, policies and directions for the organization
Representing HDP to local and international NGO community
Developing work plans and implementing activities in accordance with the work plans
Ensuring that HDP activities are in compliance with the donor agency
Work in compliance to HDP administrative and financial procedures
Reviewing and approving personnel travel reports
Keeping files and CVs of the HDP staff, potential staff, and board members
Other work as required by the President (interpreting, setting meetings, etc.).
