73 | Project Coordinator - ACDI/VOCA FtF program Position: Project Coordinator Organization: ACDI/VOCA Armenia office, FtF Caucasus project Category: Local Staff ACDI/VOCA in consortium with Winrock International and Land O'Lakes is implementing Farmer-to-Farmer project in three Caucasus republics. The Farmer-to-Farmer Caucasus Program is designed to strengthen the capacity of host organizations through provision of technical assistance provided through qualified US volunteers, who travel to the region for short-term assignments. ACDI/VOCA Armenia is searching for a Project Coordinator for its FtF project to assist Country Director in development of new assignments, evaluation and monitoring of implemented projects, as well as coordination of in country volunteers. The Project Coordinator will report to ACDI/VOCA Armenia Project Director. This position also requires coordination with the FtF Regional Director. Duties and responsibilities: - Develop projects and write Scopes of Works (SOWs) under the direction of the Country Director; - Provide communications, as necessary, between ACDI/VOCA FtF volunteers and staff and host country organizations/individuals, et al.; - Act as an interpreter/translator during volunteer assignment(s) as assigned by Country Director. - Follow up on requests from host country organization(s)/individual(s) and the ACDI/VOCA volunteers to ensure the greatest possible impact of an activity; - Secure final (technical) reports Debriefing Data Sheets (DDS), and Volunteer Questionnaires from volunteers before the volunteers depart Armenia; - Conduct follow up evaluations for each of the volunteer assignment; - Report directly to the FtF regional Director and Country Director. Requirements: - University degree in Agriculture, Economics or relevant fields. - Knowledge of local agriculture and economics - Excellent written and spoken English and computer skills are required - Ability to travel extensively in the Country - Experience with International Development Organizations is a plus - Desire and enthusiasm for work with foriegn experts to promote agriculture in Armenia Application deadline is December 27, 2004.
