73 | Different Vacant Positions - World Vision POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT World Vision is a Christian Humanitarian Organisation that came to Armenia fifteen years ago providing emergency aid to the victims of December 1988 devastating earthquake. During the next fifteen years WV’s projects have gone beyond meeting the demands of crisis situations to changing the quality of life in entire communities and helping Armenians to restore their country irrespective of color, nationality, ethnicity or religious affiliation. Major programs now include Health, Child protection, Micro enterprise and community development. Alongside these, World Vision also implements activities with Churches to promote Christian values in Armenia. This work is conducted with all mainstream Churches in Armenia including Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant denominations. The following full time position starting as soon as possible is based at World Vision Armenia’s National Office in Yerevan. World Vision Armenia announces vacancies for the following positions required to start the Mobile Medical Teams (MMT) program in the marzes of Tavush and Syunik: · PEDIATRICIAN · FAMILY PHYSICIAN / GENERAL PRACTITIONER · GYNECOLOGIST · DOCTOR OF LABORATORY DIAGNOSTICS · SONOGHRAPHIST LOCATION: Gegharkunik marz, Armenia JOB DESCRIPTION: To conduct diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic and educational activities among population during visits to villages. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide quality primary medical consultation of population (diagnosis and treatment) with common illnesses, which may be managed at the Primary Health Care level in compliance with national recognized guidelines and protocols. Provide Pharmaceuticals for outpatient treatment for urgent cases. Refer undiagnosed and other cases (which can not be fully diagnosed and/or treated at the PHC level) to district hospital and policlinic, with maximum possible primary care. Keep the records of consultations and prescriptions for Revolving Drug Fond accurately. Submit daily reports on health statistics according to the forms provided and provide daily information on the consumption of MMT pharmaceuticals and medical supply. Work closely with local nurse(s), and involve them in preparation of MMT outreach visits, follow-up of patients, health education, problem discussions and solving. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma of accomplished higher medical education and work experience in specialty field for at least 3 years Excellent organizational skills Fluency in written and spoken Armenian and Russian Knowledge of English is preferred Will and ability to extensive travel within the region Ability to work under pressure and keep within time limits Compliance to WV Christian Standards APPLICATION PROCEDURES: To be considered, please e-mail a detailed letter of intent with CV to WV Armenia HR Department’s e-mail address: ruzan_nalbandyan[at]wvi.org or deliver it to the following address: World Vision Armenia, 1 Romanos Melikyan, Yerevan, Armenia, before 20 January 2005.
