73 | Program Assistant - UMCOR Employment Opportunity with UMCOR UMCOR- Armenia is seeking a Program Assistant for FOSPA program. UMCOR is implementing the FOSPA (Farmers Organizations Support Program in Armenia) 3-year program jointly with the Federation of Agricultural Associations (FAA). FOSPA started to assist active farmer groups for establishing Farmer Organisations (FO) in Armenia in April 2003 and is providing technical assistance to FAA for supporting and building the institutional capacity of FAA member FOs. Through trainings and technical assistance, FOSPA works on building and development the capacity and skills of the new and existing FOs leaders and members so that they can independently manage and operate their organisations and individual businesses. Program Assistants will be based in FOSPA/FAA Yerevan office but with making frequent trips out of Yerevan. Responsibilities: Assist FOSPA Coordinator with daily program activities; Organize visits and meetings; Provide program management: planning; implementation; monitoring; evaluation and reporting; Provide community and group meetings; Collect field data, analyze and conduct reports; Establish new agriculture Cooperatives; Assist FAA on development of training materials and provision of trainings and workshops; Assist FAA and member FOs on proposal development and fundraising implementation; Assist FAA and member FOs on provision of needs assessment and agricultural input supply and market surveys; Cooperate with UMCOR DemoFarm and other programs; Communicate with FAA members and external clients. Qualifications: ü Work experience with International NGOs. The work experience with rural community groups will be a plus. ü University degree in agriculture, economic or business administration. ü Fluent in Armenian, Russian and English languages. Good translating and interpreting skills. ü Computer skills: MS Office –2000. ü Ability to work independently and in a team. ü Strong communication skills. ü Ability to frequently travel to the regions.
