JOB TITLE: Consular Associate, FP-7*

OPEN TO: Eligible Family Members (EFMs) Only

Job Description: Incumbent will perform a wide range of visa
services to include: interviewing non-immigrant visa applications with
all due speed and courtesy; seeking out fraudulent applications and/or
their supporting documents; conducting interviews and investigations in
adoption cases; making full use of the MRV computer applications,
including name check; adjudicating and processing passport applications
and consular reports of birth, and notary services as required;
accepting immediate relative petitions filed by the U.S. citizens.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address
each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive
information supporting each criteria.
- Completion of high school.
- Fluency in English, level III Armenian or Russian speaking ability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

WORK HOURS: Full-time; 40 hours/week

SELECTION PROCESS: When equally qualified, Eligible Family Members and
U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that
all candidates address the required qualifications above in the
application.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and
visa status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to
apply.
3. EFMs who currently hold a PIT/FMA appointment are ineligible to apply
for advertised positions within the first 90 days of that appointment.

Position Grade: FP-07* to be confirmed by Washington
