675  | On the Road On the Road I'm stuck again with people drifting in this mire I'm tired of lazing, dazing, chasing in unending stand I'm tired of friends and lovers, of the city, Of streets and suns and rains that wash this weary land I want to shake off all the questions, answers, hesitations That all of them will try to hang on me I tried to save a soul but nearly lost mine I wash it all away now. But not with wine this time I walk away now, but not stalking I simply turn my back and start my way I'm on the road again. On the road again. The grass is my bed and the cloud is my pillow and the sky is my blanket I'm on the road again. I cross-pathed witches on the corner of insanity I slept with angels on my lonely bed I met with bhikkus, sages, priests and pythonesses But all they did was try to fuсk my head I met with women that declared they loved me But they did not or didn't want to understand That we were different - it was a dead fish That turned them on while slowly dying on the sand I tried to take that fish and throw it back to water But every time they jumped and tried to tie my hands I'm on the road again. On the road again. The grass is my bed and the cloud is my pillow and the sky is my blanket I'm on the road again. I made my way. I walked a dozen deserts I reached the shore and swam a dozen seas And after that I passed a silent mountain I stopped and washed myself in pouring rain And there I saw she in the middle of this meadow She smiled at me and then invited me to dance And we made love under the tree in midday shadow She said, - I won't forget you, - with a blissful glance She sang for me her song in sparkling moonlight We lay and watched the falling stars at night. I said: "I'd pass this route a hundred times to reach you ...........To kiss your lips with limpid drops of dew ...........To hear you sing, to share this flash of clarity ...........I thank you!
