Is It Posssible?

My Phone cant read (play) WMA sound format but (6230i) if it is possible to make phone understand that format ? for example by help of Java Application?
is this real ?

No! There is no way to do that.
Even on smartphones I can't remember any application to allow playing WMA.

It's bull ****. I have smart phone based on OS Win Mobile 2003. All multimedia application can read *.wma, *.mp3, *.ogg. Even i can make mp3 or wma ringtone in sound settings of my mobile phone.

First of all watch your mouth in this forum.
The platform I was talking about is Symbian OS and it can successfully play mp3, ogg but I haven't seen any software under symbian to play wma.

never seen any application for Symbian OS, allow playng wma

I got it, but from another point of view dont you think that this is possible ?
I think so if application can get enough accesses for phone I think it is possible to read file and decode in a proper way, just we need a very odd JAVA app ... dont you think so ? What can hold java App to decode the File ?
that why I hope in WMA-Playing but cant Taste My "dreamed app" .

I had some hope when I found references to WMA under J2ME, but reached the conclusion that this last WMA stands for Wireless Messaging API... One more reason for hating abbreviations!
