I'm using Beyond Compare, because it's rule based and has C/C++ support in rules list.

Beyond Compare is great tool!
I'll buy that software when I'll have enough money

).

It compares in text format, in hex format, it compares images, it's VERY comfortable.
It's based on plugins, that means that you have to download plugin and you have one more comparing capability.

And (finally :-) ) Beyond Compare written using Borland's products

That tool helped (helps) me a lot.

Еще можно гонять сравнитель файлов в Windows Commandere, порой неплохо помогает.

правда, вызывать отдельно не получается. я в cvs сейчас использую examdiff (http://www.prestosoft.com/ps.asp?page=edp_examdiffpro), довольно удобно. интересно попробовать этот beyond compare, спасибо за инфу
