If you use Wind0ws XP and are worried about the new so called "Wind0ws Genuine 'Advantage'", by privacy reasons, there is a way to bypassing it and still being able of downloading updates (if you use IE): 1.- After downloading the ActiveX Control from Micro$oft site, close the browser and restart. 2.- Come to the Forum and on the top of IE click on Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Manage Add-Ons. 3.- Select "Wind0ws Genuine Advantage" and under Settings (bottom left) choose "Disable". 4.- Close the browser. From now on you may download all updates without being inspected by the biggest spies in the Net!... At least for the time being... Tested by myself and works. Cheers!
