45 | i have read about a possible solution to your issue. but it was long time ago so i can't explain detailed - only the principles ![]() there is an ini-file in windows folder which contains application names to be hidden from "add/remove programs" list. i don't remember that file name, so you'll have to find it yourself it may be [hidden] section or something like that in win.ini or hidden.ini as a separate file. if media player is in that list then remove it, and you'll be able to uninstall it as a usual application.if i find winxp machine today i'll be able to tell exact name of file.
