A new virus making the rounds requests that you 'click here to remove' yourself from a spam list. Clicking on 'remove me' links in spam only helps the spammers know what addresses are valid to continue forwarding to. In addition to that, this virus downloads and run something called windows-update.exe on the PC, allowing the system to be remotely accessed for files and password keystroke logging.

I myself have blocked access at the firewalls to the mentioned www. xcelent.biz site used by the virus, but the site can change at any time.

This is not an issue for those using Mozilla as the default web browser.

I really love Mozilla. It's great - much more faster and safer than that bug-ridden piece of crap (meaning for IE).

There's actually a better ''well-known solution'' for worms and viruses

People can get a copy of their favorite Linux distro / Free BSD/Open BSD/Net BSD/Solaris and they will be from these pesky worms and viruses for good
