MegaBBS embodies the bulk of our efforts. Our forum software has grown into a very competitive message forum, comparative to other high quality PERL/PHP systems. It is fully featured and easy to implement. Current uses of MegaBBS include corporate intranets, commercial websites, personal use, and universities! It supports MS-Access and SQL Server and can be setup and running in a matter of minutes.

Unix systems have had great choices in message forum software for years, but until recently, ASP users have been limited to a small handful of quality ASP message boards. Finally MegaBBS combines the powerful features of PHP boards, along with the ease of programmability and installation of ASP! Although MegaBBS has only been publicly released since late June 2002, it has already gained a great following of other users and developers!

Each forum and calendar can have a completely different setup involving moderators, restricted users, and posting restrictions!

Extensive administrative menus. Nearly every aspect of the forum is configurable from a web-based screen. There's no need to edit the source files by hand!
Database upgrade script - We aren't afraid to upgrade the database to take advantage of new features, and neither should you! We have spent a huge amount of effort designing a unique upgrade script which makes upgrading extremely painless. Every version of MegaBBS comes with a database upgrade script for automatically updating your database to the newest version. You will never need to open the database and manually edit it, like with some forums. How many other major ASP forums have this essential feature?

For Developers

The code is fairly easy to read and modify. Functions are stored in a central API. The software was designed by a professional programmer to be easily modifiable and modular. (Although it isn't perfect by any means, we're working on it )

Robust & secure - Extensive internal error checking. All user input is verified to prevent form spoofing.
The easy to use API lets you create a "news script" with only 10-15 lines of code (sample code supplied). There are many unique addons that are normally "separate" from a forum, while duplicating many features. Many of these things are built directly into MegaBBS. MegaBBS is not just a message forum software, it's community features and user security groups can easily be integrated across your entire website.
A growing community of pre-built MODs fill the 'last gap' between simple forum, and complete web portal, in case you don't feel like learning how to use the API. (It really isn't that hard though)
We hate bugs as much as you. They are squished mercilessly and swiftly, usually within a couple hours.

Recently an anti Armenian campaign was started by the officials of Krasnodar region in Russia, where over 500,000 Armenians live (actually it is not only an anti Armenian campaign but also anti Kurdish, anti Georgian and even anti Azeri, but so far only Armenians have suffered). For example, the Governor of Krasnodar Alexandr Tkachev in his interview to a local newspaper said that "any last name ending with "-yan" or "-shvili"* is going to be considered as illegal"!

As a result some "unknown" criminals vandalized Armenian cemetery in Krasnodar, and some police operations were carried against Armenian migrants. Those actions are backed not only by local authorities, but also by local paramilitary groups of kazaks.

The text was originally created by the Union of Armenians in Russia. You may also write your own letter (actually that would be much better).

Dear Mr. President,

I would like to declare my protest against the recent actions of the Governor of Krasnodar Region Aleksandr Tkachev and people from his team, who carry a direct responsibility in setting the stage for ethnic cleansings thus hurting the foundations of peace and calm in the region and creating a direct threat to an integrity and existence of Russia as a multiethnic state.

Such actions hurt the prestige and image of Russia as a civilized country in the eyes of the international community. They also threaten the strategic alliance between Russia and Republic of Armenia and may develop anti Russian moods within Armenian Diaspora worldwide.

The recent attempts of Governor Aleksandr Tkachev to explain the acts of vandalism in Armenian cemetery in the city of Krasnodar, where about 50 gravestones have been destroyed, by actions of a disappointed group of soccer fans acting under drug influence are simply not convincing. I am in no doubt that those actions were a direct consequence of the Governor's attempt to set a fascist regime in the region.

I demand that the Governor and his followers be brought to justice in a criminal court and take full responsibility for their criminal actions as it is required by the international responsibilities of Russia and its own law.

Дизайн твоего форума ужасен. Почему?
Он сделан непоследовательно, бесцельно, хаотично. Содранные откуда-то кнопки, испорченные неумелым resize-ом иконки, шапка полностью оторванная (и по цвету и по форме и порасположению) от остального контента, и главное стандартный дизайн самого форума, сделанный а ля WinXP.

Если хочешь подробный отчет о промахах + рекоммендации, пожалуйста, пошли мне money order на сумму $300. Обещаю послать эти деньги ОТ ТВОЕГО ЖЕ ИМЕНИ какой-нибудь благотворительной организации в Армении.
