freearmenia, there was a time when homosexuality was a crime, even in the United States. Situation with pedofilia today is not anyhow different from the gay issue in the US decades ago. If the pedofils today (or after years) prove their arguments and their right to exist (which today sounds to us as absurd as the gay issue decades ago to the people of those times) along with the accusations which sound like 'you are ageist' or 'give me my part of the world', does that mean I will start approving child sex? No way, dude. Pedofils ****, because they do not anyhow fit into my inner world EXACTLY as much as homosexuals, murderers, molesters and racists. I'm not talking about what my children will see in the streets or on the TV, nothing like that. I am talking about myself. I don't want to see them around, because I consider them pervert and sick. Once again, I don't have anything against sick people, as long as they are not proud of being sick and as long as they are not showing it off and poking it into my poor and tired eye.

Я раз в год-полтора в Армению наведываюсь. Плюс новости от друзей получаю постоянно. Скажем так, по большей части эти новости мне нравятся. И альтернативы теперешнему (как недруги называют) режиму я не вижу. Даже близко никого нет.

There was a time when blacks were slaves in the US until the Thirteenth Amendment (1865) and that was considered normal but now only racists can consider that normal. I mean that was a prejudice, discrimination. The same with homosexuals, now all the developed countries consider homosexuals as a normal and equal part of society. Somebody in this forum brought up a list of homosexuals and when you read that, you see that many of them really contribute into society and they deserve to get something back- at least the respect of the society.
I don’t understand why you are always trying to talk about pedophiles when we are talking about homosexuals. The only thing that situation with pedophilia today has common with gay issue in the US decades ago is that they both were illegal but, in the same vein, we can compare the situation with pedophilia today with situation of slavery decades ago, or we can compare situation with serial killers today and situation with slavery decades ago. Then, following you arguments, we can say what if the serial killers today (or after years) prove their arguments and their right to exist ? Nobody believes in that, but what if it happens? Then we just need to wait and see. I personally do not believe that will happen.
You don’t want to see homosexuals around and consider them pervert and sick, that’s your right. Some people don’t want to see blacks around (or some nationalists in Russia have the same opinion about Armenians), that’s their problem. However, they do exist, they don’t harm others, they are not illegal by law, many of them contribute into society and they do have equal rights with anybody…
