The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Armenia is seeking
applicants for the position of Health monitor for "Prevention and Control of
HIV/AIDS, STIs and Tuberculosis" Project implemented in Gegharkunik marz.
The goal of the project is to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS, STIs and TB among
rural communities by promoting behavioral changes and strengthening the
health care system's management of STIs.
Responsibilities
1.. Work with community leaders, local authorities and community
volunteers to organize and to coordinate their activities.
2.. On regular basis monitor the quality of implementation of the project
activities (trainings, mobile medical team, work of the community
volunteers).
3.. Organize and monitor outreach work among HIV vulnerable groups.
4.. Travel on a regular basis to all target communities 80% of the
workload consists of fieldwork.
5.. Prepare monitoring reports on weekly basis to program manager.
Required Qualification
1.. Graduate Degree in Medicine
2.. Highly developed sense of responsibility, excellent organizational
skills, attentive to details
3.. Ability to travel to regions on a regular basis.
4.. ability to work and communicate with the various groups of population.
5.. Working experience with International Governmental/ Non-governmental
Organizations
6.. Fluent Armenian, working knowledge of English and Russian
7.. Computer literate
The deadline for submission is June 29, 2004. Only short-listed applicants
will be invited to the interview. Selected applicant is supposed to start
working since July 05, 2004.
