students to show their abilities and to select among them the best ones
Announce An Armenian Open Programming Competition
It consists of two separate competitions:
The Individual competition (for students only).
The competitioners in the Final Stage must solve 3 problems in 3 hours.
During the competition each student will be given a workstation.
For solving the problems the participants may use different programming
languages: C++, Visual C++, Visual Basic, Java or Pascal.
The participants should register
from May 6-18, till 17:00 at the Yerevan University of Management
and Information Technologies (YUMIT) or on-line at

The Screening Stage of the registered participants will take place at
YUMIT on May 19, at 10:00.
The participants must present their passports and student cards.
The Final Stage of individual competition will be held on May 26 at
10:00, at YUMIT.
The Team competition
(teams, each consisting of 3 participants, without age limitations)
The teams must solve 9 problems in 5 hours. Each team will be given a
workstation. During the competition for solving the problems the
competitioners may use different programming languages: MS VC++, Borland
Jbuilder, Delphi, MS VB or Java/Windows IDE.

The Screening Stage of the leaders of the registered teams will take
place on May 21 at 10:00-16:00 at YUMIT.
The team leaders must present their passports.
The Final Stage of team competition will be held in Yerevan on May 29
at 10:00, at Lans LTD (49 Komitas St.).
The results of the competitions will be evaluated by the Jury
consisting of well-known and experienced specialists in the field of Information
Technologies.
The winners of the competitions will receive Award Certificates from
the Steering Committee and prizes (computers, computer accessories, free
internet access and money awards) from the sponsors.
