CRS Armenia/Caucasus

Position: Program Coordinator
Reports to: Head of Office of CRS in Armenia
Supervision: No
Grade: 5
Location: Yerevan
Status: Full time
Contract Length: 4 months with possible extension

Position is dependent upon approval of CRS internal funding


Job Summary
Program Coordinator position, pending CRS internal funding, will work with
the Head of Office (HOO) to ensure that the programs implemented through CRS
partners are of high quality and positive impact to the relevant
populations. Program Coordinator will need to work intensively with CRS HOO
and partners to develop new concept papers, proposals, programs. Program
Coordinator will also be responsible to oversee/monitor the implementation
of CRS and external donor funded projects by partner organizations.

Job Tasks
· As needed, facilitate meetings with partners to design new
programs and/or improve current programs.
· Write or participate in the writing of concept papers/proposals
and/or coordinate the proposal development process, including writing and
editing proposals, submitting for strategic coherence, responding to
questions, etc.
· As assigned by HOO, represent CRS at working groups, discussions,
etc.
· Develop and maintain MOU and project agreement with partners.
· Ensure that projects assigned by HOO are in compliance with grant
requirements (i.e., finance spending, reporting, etc.), including
coordinating the timely submission of all project narrative and financial
reports to CRS and/or external donors.
· Monitor progress of designated projects to ensure the proper
implementation of project activities and collect/compile monitoring data to
gauge the progress and impact of projects.
· As requested by HOO, participate in evaluation of program
activities.
· Provide trainings to staff and partners related to program quality
standards, implementation techniques.
· Maintain CRS/AR M&E database, including updating the database.
· Maintain CRS program files ensuring its accuracy and
comprehensiveness
· As requested by HOO, participate and occasionally facilitate
weekly staff coordination meeting.

Required Core Competencies
· Highly organized and detail-oriented with a track record of
providing consistently high quality work.
· Excellent customer service attitude and commitment to CRS's
partners.
· Strong inter-personal and communication skills, including good
listening skills. Problem solving approach and ability to move groups to
consensus.
· Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and shift
priorities according to arising needs.
· Professionalism and poise in a setting with international actors.


Required Expertise
Requires strong written and spoken English with experience in writing
proposals and planning budgets
Proven ability to document lessons learned and best practices in English and
in Armenian.
Experience using participatory, interactive adult learning techniques and
facilitating group processes.
Proven ability or highly motivated to learn: PowerPoint, database (Access
and/or Excel).
Proven ability to file programmatic documents in logical systems.

Desirable Expertise.
Knowledge of and commitment to CRS's partnership principles.
Conversant in CRS's strategies and philosophies, especially an interest in,
commitment to and enthusiasm CRS social change methods in advocacy, civic
participation (including PLA), and conflict transformation a plus.
Understanding and ability to explain the program management cycle.
Awareness of CRS and industry standard M&E system preferred.
Working experience with database preferred.

CRS Working Environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Occasional travel to CRS partner offices and program sites within Armenia.
