You shouldn't be alarmed if someone informs you that they received an infected message purporting to be from you. The latest variant of the
Bagle/Beagle virus is currently making the rounds, spoofing the From: address.
The To: and From: addresses are both taken from
address book entries and other files on the infected system. This spoofing means that the sender of the message is not who it seems to be. The only way to tell who actually sent the message is to look at all the headers.
