The OSCE Office in Yerevan invites applications from highly qualified, energetic and experienced Armenian professionals for the post of
Project Assistant
Under the supervision of the Democratization Officer and the Human Rights Officers the incumbent assists the Human Rights Officer, the Democratization Officer in the management and implementation of projects and activities implemented by the respective programmes, by performing the following duties:
1. Establishes, maintains and develops contacts with universities, international and non-governmental organisations, as well as with the government at relevant level (up to the Head of Department level) for the facilitation of project implementation.
2. Advises on contacts with relevant Armenian authorities and arranges relevant meetings
3. Interprets or translates, as necessary, in meetings and with relation to project documents and projects.
4. Drafts letters and other documents related to projects.
5. Makes travel arrangements for visiting experts and ODIHR staff (plane tickets, visas, airport pickup/drop-off).
6. Makes all logistical arrangements for events related to project implementation (reserve conference room, hotel rooms, catering, prepare event document packages, etc.)
7. Maintains project files, including organizing data and information, preparing and maintaining records, documents, and control plans for the monitoring of project/program implementation;
8. Provides programmatic support to the Democratization Programme and Human Rights Programme in the IRMA (Integrated Resource Management Application) system.
9. Provides input to project proposals.
10. Monitors project implementation, including financial monitoring, preparing and tracking project budgets, expenditures, and receipts for accounting purposes.
11. Attends relevant meetings, roundtables, workshops, conferences and other events.
12. Performs other relevant work as required.
Qualifications:
Completion of secondary education supplemented by courses in social sciences.
Budget and administrative experience, experience with E-procurement, project management and implementation related work, preferably in an international environment, an asset.
Minimum 4 years relevant working experience
Communication skills (establish and maintain contact with project partners, NGOs, governmental officials), organisational skills.
Excellent knowledge of Russian, English and Armenian (both written and oral).
Team work ability, flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with limited time frames.
Ability to operate windows applications, including word processing, e-mail and Internet.
