Huygens lands on Titan
Europe reaches new frontier – Huygens lands on Titan
14 January 2005 ESA PR 03-2005. Today, after its seven-year journey through the Solar System on board the Cassini spacecraft, ESA’s Huygens probe has successfully descended through the atmosphere of Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, and safely landed on its surface.

Да, что верно, то верно - так далеко еще никто не притинанивался. Жаль, что работал зинд всего несколько часов. А где можно скачать фотографии Титана, сделанные "Гюигенсом" ?

Ammonia Key to Titan's Atmosphere
Thanks to data gathered by Cassini and Huygens, scientists know that Titan's atmosphere contains significant amounts of ammonia - and this chemical could be responsible for the weathering on the moon's surface. Researchers from the University of Arizona believe that Cassini will eventually find that Titan has a layer of liquid ammonia-and-water underneath a solid crust of water ice. It's this liquid ammonia that could be creating the cryovolcanic flows discovered by Cassini on its first close Titan flyby in 2004.

Rainbows on Titan
Saturn's moon Titan is wet, according to the ESA's Huygens probe, but Titan's "water" is not like Earth's.
