Morning! Open your eyes… you did? Now close them again and next time when I say open your eyes think about this… this time do not open them like you have always done, do not open your lashes just as a mechanical movement, do not open them like you open the door of your car or the top of the bottle or the screen of the computer. Open your eyes not because it’s a simple movement, something as simple as breathing… open your eyes this morning like you’re opening them for the first time in your life, or the last time… Open them like the tulip unfolds its petals, like the sky clears from the clouds, like the curtain opens for a miraculous performance to begin… Open your eyes as if you welcome the first day of the spring, as if you’re going to see the world for the first or the last time… Open your eyes slowly, mildly, quietly filled with the sweet expectation of something great waiting for you…"
