Call for Articles
EDRC announces a Call for Articles to be published in the 3 rd issue of the 2 nd volume of the
“Economic Policy and Poverty” Periodical
The Economic Development and Research Center in conjunction with the USAID/Commercial Law and
Economic Regulation Program implemented by BearingPoint Inc. is publishing “Economic Policy and Poverty”
periodical. The periodical aims to present a comprehensive view of economic policies implemented and
proposed in the country, to review and analyze economic and social issues, and to report the results of a
poverty reduction and economic developments monitoring systems.
General topics of requested articles
The general topic for the EPP-II-3 issue will be “Fiscal Policy and Public Sector Reforms” which includes tax
system and policy, budget process, budgeting, public expenditures, public expenditure management,
monitoring evaluation, decentralization and local governance, public administration, etc.
Requirements for articles
Proposals for articles can be submitted by authors who have at least two years’ relevant academic or practical
experience. The proposal should include the author’s name, title and contact details, the theme or title of the
article, and a Summary or Outline of the proposed contents (up to 1 page).
If selected, the authors should write articles containing from 800 to 1500 words and may write them in either
English or Armenian languages. Articles must be submitted in electronic format as a Microsoft Word file.
Articles should include all data sources, and complete citations for all references. Graphs, tables, and charts
are encouraged.
Deadlines
The deadline for the selection of articles for EPP-II Issue 3 is February 15, 2005. All prospective authors need
to submit proposals to EPP no later than that date. Once selection is made, the Final Drafts of Articles should
be submitted by the end of the working day on March 07, 2005.
Other conditions
Articles may be extracts or summaries of research papers written formerly or being written currently.
Publication of articles is free of charge. Some authors may be eligible for honorariums.
The editors retain the right to edit any article for length and style or may request that authors revise their
articles based on comments. Any edits to content will be agreed with the author. For further information please visit
