Default Asking for updates-norutyunner

I've been gone from Yerevan for two years. What has been happening? Inch norutyunner, inch popoxutyunner? When I was leaving, the city was rapidly pacing towards Westernization or globalization, how far have we gone so far?

Myself in US, unfortunately I cannot answer your question, but I was just wondering why is it that you prefer speaking in English rather than Armenian or Russian if you are here only for 2 years....

I prefer WRITING in English. I've been here for 2 years THIS TIME AROUND only, chgitem, hayerenov nents ankap a statsvum. I could say the same, why are there more Russian posts than Armenian?

My answer would be, I've been WORKING with the language (English) for so long that i guess that's become a HABIT of writing and thinking.

Mek mek kpordzem hayeren el grel, ok?

Btw, (a bit of an offtop) recently I was speaking with a friend, he told me about a couple, which is in the US for several years. They principally speak in english: inside the family and whith friend at home. Just worth noting, although the story left a very bad impression on me.

shushanika, Yerevan has changed a lot. Most of the old city is lost under the new construction. I'd like to say something nice, that has changed in the past two years, but nothing is coming into my mind. Mayce someone can help.

P.S. The standard news bulleting for those just arriving in Yerevan, the dollar is down, gasoline prices are up

Dollar has been devaluating for quite a long time. Not surprising at all.
as for speaking english here, the "other" part of my family is American, although really i should not be justifying my choice to write in English.
If it really does bother a lot of you, i can simply post in English only section.

But thank you for the news. (SMILE)

Well, in this case isn't it a good idea, to speak Armenian or Russian, at least here, not to forget these languages at all?

shushanika, hope my post didn't seem rude Your writing in english doesn't bother (at least me) the least. It's only that having compatriots abroad choose a foreign language often makes some sort of barrier between us and them.

DaNYer , I am surprised and disappointed that you do not concider us who are not familier with the Russian language , in fact I was telling Acid that I was hoping to improve my Armenian by joining this forum , but it just impossible as you all seem to switch into Russian . in fact some one had asked inchu russeren ?
Shushanika , members of my family and my self have been going to Armenia frequently and I can tell you that we see much improvement and prosperity is on it's way .
