The American Uniform Commercial Code
The Law Department is hosting Professor Ann Lousin from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, to speak about the American Uniform Commercial Code. Her lecture will include a commentary on the effects that globalization may have on the UCC. Anyone dealing with American businesspeople and their lawyers must be aware of the effect of the UCC upon their culture, thinking, and practices. This lecture will be of particular interest to students and faculty in the law and business programs.
Professor Lousin has been a full-time member of the John Marshall law faculty since 1975, and she teaches courses in Sales and in Secured Transactions. She is also a recognized authority on the Illinois constitutition, having participated in the drafting of virtually every article of the Illinois constitution back in 1970. Professor Lousin earned her JD degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
