INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM at AUA

You have a unique opportunity to participate in an International Symposium which will take place from October 10 to 13 in AUA and Armenia Marriott Hotel and will involve 200 University students, young professionals, and diplomats from around the world.



ATHGO International's four-day symposium in Yerevan will discuss the importance of a global partnership for development, as highlighted in the UN Millennium Development Goal number 8, and will reveal implementation strategies designed by the 200 participants.

UN Millennium Development Goal 8:

Develop further an open trading and financial system that is rule-based, predictable and non-discriminatory

§ Address the least developed countries’ special needs

§ Address the special needs of landlocked and small island developing States

§ Deal comprehensively with developing countries’ debt problems through national and international measures to make debt sustainable in the long term

§ In cooperation with the developing countries, develop decent and productive work for youth

§ In cooperation with pharmaceutical companies, provide access to affordable essential drugs in developing countries

§ In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies—especially information and communications technologies

The participants will partake in a series of highly interactive sessions, which will include:

§ Presentations from international development experts

§ Participation in group presentations and debates examining and analyzing the global partnership for development

§ Panel discussions by diplomats and business professionals about strategic development in economic and business sectors

§ Social events with diplomats, corporate executives, and foreign service officials

§ Networking opportunities with professionals and diplomats from world over

The regular registartion fee for the symposium is $90 US, but only and only for AUA students REGISTARION IS FREE OF CHARGE.

The only thing you have to do is to print the application form which is attahced to the mail, fill in and bring it to Student Council by the DEADLINE which is 18:00, Thursday, September 29.
