Event: UGEE-URSS tribute
Fellow aviation enthusiasts,
I suggest to organize an online flying event from UGEE (Zvartnots) to URSS (Sochi) during the mid May. Not as a leisure, but as a tribute.
If the idea sounds favorable, then I guess we can start discussing the details here.
As for the simulator, I suggest FS2004.
As for the aircraft, I suggest picking a standard one to avoid compatibility problems between clients. Boeing 737-400 seems to be the same class as the Airbus A320. We can go with it. Those who are not skilled enough for the 737 (like myself) can be free to choose any other aircraft they are familiar with. Very small aircrafts (like the 172), however, are discouraged due to their limitations in speed.
As for the server, we can either go with VATSIM (too much ATC hassle), put up a local session for ourselves (too much technical hassle), or go with something like NetWings.org (the simplest choice). If, however, we want to fly a more realistic ATC-controlled regular IFR Zvartnots-to-Sochi flight, VATSIM seems the only way to go.
Waiting for your replies and be good.
