The United Nations World Food Programme is looking for a local Trainer to provide training on the Prevention and Response to Food Emergencies
Background:
Armenia is subject to sudden onset disasters such as earthquake, drought, frost, etc, likely to result in large numbers of vulnerable people requiring emergency food aid. WFP is planning to train partner staff (bodies of local self-government, school management, and NGOs) to create shared understanding of crisis preparedness and response with WFP and among local players.
Major activities include:
preparation of the main handout materials for the participants and the training module using relevant WFP documents; provision of training to 60 participants; submission of a report after the training.
Duration of work:
9 days including 5 days for document review and preparation of a module, and
4 days of training to two groups (27-28 June and 29-30 June)
Qualifications/Experience:
University degree and experience in the development of training modules;
Trainer experience in the prevention and response to food emergencies, knowledge of WFP’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Concept and emergency legislation of Armenia
Training will be conducted in Armenian
