Course: UNIX System Administration
UNIX System Administration
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course, the students will be capable of administering a UNIX based operating system. They will be able to perform duties of a user and network administration. They will be capable of automating tasks using shell scripts and managing security issues. Students will have the knowledge to install and maintain small networks connected to the Internet.
At the end of the course, having successfully passed the tests, students may receive a Certificate.
The instruction language is English.

Description of: DNS, E-Mail, and HTTPD services
Instructor:
Albert Minasyan will teach the class. He has over 10 years of System administrator experience working for AUA Computer Services. He is currently a lecturer of the College of Engineering/CIS Program at the AUA.

Duration: from 2006 06 02 to 2006 07 17; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 16:00 to 18:00
Course fee: 80 000 AMD (including VAT)
Class size is between 10 (minimum) and 15 (maximum).
Registration: Room 19a, American University of Armenia (AUA) from 09:00 to 17:30, with passport
Note that the cashier's office is open from 10:00-16:00, Mon.-Fri. (13:00-13:45 lunch)
