Today the 13th award ceremony MTV Europe prizes will be held in Copenhagen today.
This is the third year since the System of a Down rock band is nominated as the Best Alternative Group. Last year the SOAD not only won in this category, but also had the honor of finishing the ceremony. 
Red Hot Chili Peppers are nominated for 4 categories: Best Group, Best Rock Group, Best Album and Best Song. As for pop stars, Madonna will be presented at 3 nominations: Female Singer, Best Pop Singer, Best Author of Album. Robby Williams aspires for the titles of Singer of the Year and Best Pop Singer. Besides, Justin Timberlake, Depeche Mode, Shakira, Nelly Furtado and Christina Aguilera will take part in the award ceremony, reports RFE/RL.
