Sport Lisboa e Benfica was considered the most widely supported football club in the world, with their ~160 000 paying members. Read more here
Funny thing is that Benfica is the successor of Manchester United with ~152 000 members. When comparing the size of countries and - more - the relative budgets, I'm proud of this fact.
