Position for interpreters and drivers for STOs at OSCE/ODIHR
ORGANIZATION: OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission to Armenia for Parliamentary Elections 2007
TITLE: National staff, Position for interpreters and drivers for Short Term Observers
MENU/LIST TEXT: Following an official invitation from the Armenian authorities, the OSCE/ODIHR has deployed an Election Observation Mission (EOM) to Armenia for the 12 May parliamentary elections.
Continuing its operations, OSCE/ODIHR EOM is planning to deploy around 300 (three hundred) Short-Term Observers from many OSCE participating States to observe the Election Day procedures. All observers will be organized in multi-national teams of two persons under a deployment plan prepared by the OSCE/ODIHR EOM. Each team will be provided with an interpreter and car/driver by the OSCE/ODIHR EOM.
In this respect, the OSCE/ODIHR is currently recruiting national staff to fill the following positions:
- Translators/Interpreters for Shot-Term Observers
- Drivers for Shot-Term Observers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
For Translators/Interpreters for Shot-Term Observers
- Proficiency in English and local languages.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional independence
- Some relevant experience at the national or international level. Experience with international organizations is an asset.
- Ability to work long hours and under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different gender and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
SALARY: 40 EUR per day for For Translators/Interpreters for Shot-Term Observers;
40 EUR per day for Drivers/Cars for Shot-Term Observers + reimbursement for fuel;
