Minus and Plus
You’re hiding your head
From the rain that has filled us
The cold is the tomb of our bed…
I’ve lost what I had
In self-centered misbalance
In glamorous castles of sand…
Reminiscences harsh and cruel
This game has a simple rule:
We could stay if we weren’t in lust --
I'm for minus and you are - for plus…
How I loved the stifling smell of you
Then I heard you saying you’ve found the clue
Now I hate hollow nights and pretentious days
The flavor of passion dissolves in the haze…
You turn off the lights
And take to downtown
Leftovers of the day slice my soul
You ask me “please, wait till
The trembling dawn…
Then walk out in silence and crawl…”
Reminiscences harsh and cruel
This game is for no one to rule
We could melt in each other and trust
I’m your minus and you are my plus…
Somebody will promise me blank page to paint on
Another love story with indefinite end
I’ll slowly collect my old colorful crayons
To brush all the letters unsent.
Reminiscences are a poisonous fun
Life goes on. We go down. Yes, we’re done.
Moments melt, seconds scatter in dust
You’re my minus, my zero, my plus.
