Default Unrest in Armenia

We are deeply saddened by the recent political events in Armenia , violence , deaths and unrest in the capital , is unacceptable and concerning .
All parties are urged to work peacefully to bring some stabelity back to Armenia and it's citizen .
These are challenging times for Armenians in the home land and in the diaspora .
American and Canadian Armenian organizations and the churches are all behind you , and remain committed to serve the home land .
I am aware that this topic is being discussed in Aemenian and Russian , I would like to hear some comments and opinions from the English speaking friends at this forum.

My dearest Sevana!

Many Armenians may say that it's none of my business what happened recently in Armenia. Wrong! Having Armenian friends doesn't allow me to interfere but certainly gives me the right to express my opinion.

This said, I'm going to state publicly what I wrote recently in private to one dear friend in Yerevan:

It is awfully sad hearing that:

a)- Politicians use corruption for winning elections. But this is not unique of Armenia. There is a mayor of a town near mine who offered fridges, tv sets, washing machines, etc. with the same purpose. And he won! And was re-elected in the last elections, in an independent list, after his party having withdrawn their support and trust from him.

b)- Politicians use power for nullifying the holy right of protesting.

c)- Politicians don't measure their words carefully so pushing (willingly or not) their supporters to no-wayout roads.

d)- People from a so old nation don't learn that keeping talking is the only way to achieve peace and prosperity.

Keep talking!
Make love, not war!

Sevana-jan, I am sure your fellow Armenians do acknowledge your concerns about Armenia. The silence in this topic does not mean that they are ignored. There might be many reasons for that, e.g. the topic is discussed elsewhere in this forum on other languages (which is the case, actually) or some forum-members decided to keep the silence for the period of the ban (which is the case too, as a matter of fact).
Believe me, many of them are discussing the issues in many other forums, blogs, and communities.

Besides, there is a saying "Silence is an agreement" ) So may be this is the true case?
