My name is Edith Nazarian. I’m currently working on a research project on Armenian folklore at the University of California, Irvine and was just wondering if anyone here might be able to help me.
Basically, I’m interested in collecting any stories/superstitions about snakes that either you have heard of or know through experience. So, for example, my uncle’s wife has a relative in Armenia who says she was visited and warned by a snake in a dream. Another story that I have heard is about a snake living under the stairs of a house, collecting gold.
If you do happen to share a story, please leave as much information about yourself as you can, such as your name, age, gender, and what kind of Armenian you are (e.g., Armenian-Armenian, Iranian-Armenian, American-Armenian, etc.).
