in love with a turkish guy..

Hey guys,

I am in such a big dilemma and i don't know where to find answers..

You can describe me as a really proud and sophisticated armenian woman. I'm 24 and have a very good life which i built on my own.

After dating with different men for several years, I met this amazing man..he is intelligent, blond with grey eyes, a beautiful body and super kind and caring..

we talk a lot about my heritage and he is like a normal guy and feels german (he lives in germany)

What should i do? Should i keep dating him and eventually marry him or let him go because he is turkish? I just can't decide because he is perfect for me...I have waited for a man like this all my life..

i totally agree!

He did that for me and even wants to take my armenian surname..

I'm so proud of my armenian roots that he has to 'become' armenian..i am the more dominant culture in our relationship. He knows he has to adjust to MY culture

haha i'm happy that you're still around! No but my problem is..i want my mom to be proud and walk with her head high...not be ashamed that her daughter is with the enemy..that's why i'm in such a dilemma..

That's a very ordinary way of thinking that Turks are our enemies. We cannot forget Genocide, but this shouldn't keep us isolated from intercultural exchange with adequate people, who do accept historical facts happened 100 years ago. Furthermore, weakness is the greatest flaw related to any kind of human's life activity. That horrible event only tells us about lack of political and national will. And it's irrelevant to mix history and politics with your relationship with a Turkish guy.
