NETWORK/SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Network/System Administrator you will manage and maintain the company's network and associated workstations. You will approve specifications for new IT equipment as well as to procure, install and configure new hardware and software. You will also organise repair and upgrade of IT hardware and software. You will develop standards for workstation configuration and configure workstations and install applications. You will provide assistance to PC users with any IT related problems. You will maintain a list of IT equipment and software and document the network and workstation configurations. Finally, you will administrate the web hosting of our websites.
SKILLS:
You have excellent skills (experience would be a plus) in network administration.
You are familiar with
- MS Windows NT/2000 Server,
- UNIX/Linux (FreeBSD, Mandrake, Red Hat, etc.),
- Macintosh network development and administration.
You have knowledge of other related networking applications, mail, web, ftp and many other servers for Microsoft and UNIX/Linux platforms and for many other platforms as well. You have excellent knowledge of configuration of Cisco Systems equipment: routers, gateways, switches, access servers, proxy servers, firewalls etc. You should be able to configure hardware and software including repair and upgrading of PC's.
DESIRED PROFILE:
English Essential - verbal/written/understanding.
French and other languages - advantageous.
Able to work under pressure and in an international team.
Organized, methodical, dynamic and team-oriented person.
Willing to learn new skills.
