Position: Constituency Relations Specialist
USAID funded project
Starting date: May 15, 2002
Long term assignment after 2 months probation period
Constituency Relations Specialist will serve on a long term USAID-funded
project in Armenia. The Constituency Relations Specialist will coordinate
technical assistance to the National Assembly members and staff on
mechanisms to improve constituency outreach and assist members and Assembly
caucuses to establish systematic procedures to service constituents
recognizing the important differences in members from majoritarian and
proportional districts. Additional duties will include assisting members to
plan and conduct regular field visits and organize constituency outreach
meetings, acting as liaison with Armenian partner(s), and facilitating
linkages between local organizations and the Assembly. The Constituency
Relations Specialist will also develop a constituency servicing manual and
other tools for MPs and staff.
Qualifications:
- Some experience working in or with the Armenian legislature and/or
grassroots organizations
- Advanced degree preferred
- Fluent written and spoken English
Competitive Salary depends on experience and qualifications.
