Unhappy Who's next ? China ??

Don't you guys think China will be the next target for US ? I've already seen China is preparing tough with its nuclear arsenal and marching dozens of soldiers(to show US of its power) in case US turn to them once it finish with Iraq... And if it happens, God safe us. There will be really long term battle called WWIII which will essencially throw humanity many years back.

China? No way.

Rather Iran or Syria.

China ? Come on, bud, are you kidding ?
Those bastards can't take care of little Iraqi problems, do you think they will dare to go to China ?
1. You remeber, that China has a nuc weapons, dont' you ?
2. China is strong economic partner of USA.
4. There are billions of people in China - can't conquer them all
3. Wht excuses can they invent in order to start a full-scale military actions ?

Sorry, bro - I can't accept any possibility of such an event. Even Russia has more chances.

Default China 'shocked' to be on U.S. nuke hit list (March 13, 2003)

BEIJING, China -- The Chinese government says it is "deeply shocked" at reports of U.S. military plans to target seven countries, including China, for the possible future use of nuclear weapons.

Speaking to reporters in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi called on Washington to explain the reports which first appeared in the Los Angeles Times and New York Times at the weekend.

According to the newspapers, the secret "nuclear posture review" was passed to the U.S. Congress by the Pentagon in January outlining the possible use of nuclear weapons against countries that possess or are developing weapons of mass destruction.

Apart from China the countries listed on the report are Libya, Syria Russia, Iran, Iraq and North Korea.

Officials in the Bush administration have since sought to play down the implications of the review saying that the United States reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event it or its allies are attacked, but that the document itself does not represent a change in policy.

...

Launch conditions

The Pentagon report listed three conditions in which the use of nuclear weapons might be considered, including:

use against targets capable to withstand non-nuclear attacks;

in retaliation for an attack with nuclear, biological or chemical weapons;

and a third, catch-all category: "in the event of surprising military developments."
One of the possible contingencies in which U.S. use of nuclear weapons is envisaged is in the event of a military confrontation between China and Taiwan -- an issue that Beijing regards as a purely domestic concern.

Despite a recent warming of relations between China and the U.S. seen during President Bush's recent visit to Beijing many analysts say Washington continues to view Beijing as a strategic competitor and even a potential future military adversary.

China and Russia being on this list is just some clumsy treatening, I guess.
Also I don't think they will attack North Korea after they announced having nuclear weapon.

But look at the others: Iran and Syria. I guess those are the targets for the next attack.

Seen on iraqwar.ru forum ( http://www1.iraqwar.ru/forums/index....ct=ST&f=1&t=15 )

==============================================
Next country is Syria.

America's pattern is to pass special legislation to allow it to legally meddle in another country's affairs. During the 1980's Congress passed an act to demand additional rights for Albanians in Yugoslavia. Years later the country was decimated, bombed, subject to economic sanctions and now Yugoslavia is no more.

Similarly with Iraq. Congress passed the Iraq Liberation Act. Sanctions followed and now we have invasion. Soon the country will be fragmented most likely into 3 small areas. Iraq will never be a force in the Middle East again.

Recently, following September 11 attack on the World Trade Centre, US Congress passed the Syria Accountabilty Act 2002, which prohibits American companies to conduct business with Syria, but also imposes certain demands on the Syrian government with regards to aiding terrorists.

In 1996 Richard Perle, co-authored a document titled 'A New Beginning - Israel towards 2000' to a policy platform for Netanyahu's election. In it he called for direct economic, military and any other intervention against Syria, by Israel, Turkey and Jordan to disrupt and unsettle the political and economic life in that country.

The scene for Syria is set.

Rumsfeld raises stakes with warning to Syria over military sales to Iraq

Oliver Burkeman in Washington and Dan de Luce in Tehran
Saturday March 29, 2003
The Guardian

Donald Rumsfeld, the US defence secretary, delivered a stark warning to Syria yesterday, accusing it of failing to stop cross-border sales of military equipment, including night-vision goggles, to the Iraqi army.
Mr Rumsfeld called the shipments "hostile acts" and threatened to "hold the Syrian government accountable", but refused to say whether he meant military action.

He also struck out at Iran for letting state-sponsored anti-Saddam militants flood into Iraq, interfering in the coalition's war plans.

"We have information that shipments of military supplies have been crossing the border from Syria into Iraq, including night-vision goggles," Mr Rumsfeld told a briefing at the Pentagon.

He said there was "no question... that military supplies or equipment or people are moving across the borders between Iraq and Syria; it vastly complicates our situation".

The US government "consider[s] such trafficking as hostile acts and will hold the Syrian government accountable for such shipments," he said.

The complaint echoed accusations last week from Washington that Russian companies had sold similar goggles, along with GPS jammers and anti-tank guided missiles, to Iraq.

When questioned, Mr Rumsfeld refused to say whether he was threatening war. "I'm saying exactly what I'm saying. It was carefully phrased," he said. He would not say if he believed the sales to be state-sponsored, calling the matter "an intelligence issue".

But "they control their border", he said of the Syrian government. "We're hoping that kind of thing doesn't happen."

An official at the Syrian foreign ministry dismissed the Mr Rumsfeld's accusations last night, saying they were "an attempt at covering what his troops have committed against civilians in Iraq... a violation of international law".

Syria, a staunch opponent of the war in Iraq, plays an important role in the neo-conservative "domino" theory, which exerts a strong influence on hawkish thinking in the Bush administration. Syria is commonly mentioned, along with Iran, as one of the first regimes that would be expected to crumble or reform radically as a result of the installation of a new government in Baghdad - or alternatively as a potential future target of US military force.

Last month John Bolton, the administration's undersecretary of state for arms control, was quoted as telling Israeli officials that it would be "necessary to deal with" Syria, Iran and North Korea after a war on Iraq.

Mr Rumsfeld said Iraqi Shia troops in the Badr corps, an opposition group backed by Iran for 20 years, had been crossing into Iraq.

"The Badr corps is trained, equipped and directed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard and we will hold the Iranian government responsible for their actions and will view Badr corps activity inside Iraq as unhelpful," he said.

Mr Rumsfeld's warning is sure to inflame Tehran which has so far adopted a restrained and even cooperative stance towards the conflict.

China??? US has no guts to attack China!
I believe next is North Korea or Iran. Iran most likely, as it is near Iraq.
