Currently "NorEon" Creative Center considers people interested in volunteering at any time throughout the upcoming one year. The current call for volunteers is targeted at young people with an interest in forging a career within the arts, although anyone who is interested in being involved may apply.
It is the mission of "NorEon" to promote the further development of Armenian visual arts bringing together Armenian artists, supporting artists at the early stages of their career, contributing to the integration of Armenian artists into the international cultural processes, introducing Armenian contemporary visual arts to the international community at due level. To accomplish this mission, "NorEon" organizes international and national creative symposiums, exhibitions and other art related events. Under "Art Resource" project, "NorEon" provides assistance to Armenian artists informing them about international art events around the world and helping them to submit applications for participation.
Currently about 100 artists are registered with “NorEon” and provided with the services, which include free newsletter containing announcements of international art events, web page construction, application package preparation, etc.
The nature of volunteer work within "NorEon" is varied and may range from working in an administrative or organizational capacity, to working on a specific project with a coordinator. Applicants are interviewed prior to their involvement and are asked to specify the areas in which they have a specific interest or set of skills. "NorEon" will make every attempt – but can’t promise – to offer volunteers work opportunities appropriate to their skills, aspirations and experience.
By working with us you will learn new skills, gain new experience, find new friends and make new contacts while providing a service to the arts and community.
The volunteers will work part-time, 3-4 days per week (the work schedule will be agreed in advance).
