fc, no offense but it would be better for that person to write his/her own essay instead of reading what other's wrote. That way there will be less trouble in the future...

Agree with you. I'm not a fan of such things. I told the same, still he wants to get some "examples".

fc don't know if I'll be much of a help for you cuz I don't actually have my essays with me. But I'd suggest that he simply describes himself, his family and what he likes do to, hobbies, sports etc... That should do-the essays shouldn't really be something spectacular as long as he writes them HIMSELF!! This is extremely important cuz if he lies on the essays it's gonna come out anyway! Please tell him not to include anything that he doesn't really like because in the end the host families read those essays and chose from all the applicants one that will fit in their family the best. I'm not sure, are there specific questions for the essays now or what?

btw-since when FLEX is financed by IREX?!
